Business Partner Honored for Engineering Day
Congratulations to Intel Corporation for being a recipient of the Cox Connect2STEM Awards.  Intel was honored for their 18 year partnership with the District in hosting the annual Intel Engineering Day.  We appreciate the experiences this day provides for our students, which includes more than 20 engineers spending a day with students teaching them about the field of engineering and participating in a design project.  To watch a video of the project, visit the Cox Connect2STEM website.

Teacher Honored on Mix 96.9
Paul Hamel, District English Language Arts Academic Coach, was honored on Wednesday on Mix 96.9 Radio.  Mr. Hamel was contacted by a former student, who now works on the morning show.  Mix 96.9 was launching a new teacher’s recognition contest and Mr. Hamel was interviewed by his former student, Priscilla Ornelas, as being a teacher that touched her life! There is no greater reward in the teaching profession than to have a former student say thank you in a meaningful way!  Click here to listen to the surprise interview.
